Y’s Sound Profile   Y’s come from capital letters of Yoko and Yuiko. This duo was formed in 1998, gave first live performance in the university festival. Y’s passed the audition promoted by Toppan Hall (http://www.toppanhall.com/) and appeared the debut concert in 2001 as a first group formed by the combination of Western and Japanese instrument. The performance broadcasted in BS digital –Culture Channel. And in 2002 Y’s won the 1st prize at the 4th Chamber music competition under the auspice of the board of directors for Chinese music. On the other hand, Y’s have volunteered playing and performed in concerts promoted by public halls. The repertoire ranges from modern music to pops, premiere works. Y’s is going to continue searching for their own sound.
